Following the VFR route is approximately 285 nautical miles. Direct from Springbank to Kelowna is approximately 205 nautical miles with the highest peak enroute at 9980 feet.

Southern route from Fort McLeod (CEY3)
Following the VFR route is approximately 420 nautical miles. Direct from Ft. McLeod to Kelowna is approximately 230 nautical with the highest peak enroute at 8500 feet.

CUSTOMS ARRIVALS
To avoid congetstion we recommend inbound aircraft clear Customs at Penticton Airport, CYYF. Regular Customs clearing procedures apply; refer to most recent CFS.

ORGANIZED FLY OUTS
Airdrie, CEF4: Larry Biever, COPA Director
Larry is planning on flying to CYLW on Wednesday June 21st and others are welcome to join him. Local pilots are interested in helping out. The airport is privately owned, but the owner will waive landing fees - PPR (prior permission required) - call before landing. This airport is 1.5 miles to town so handy for accommodation etc. Larry is willing to meet on Tuesday evening with visiting pilots and is planning his flight to Kelowna the morning of Wednesday, June 21. (This allows flex due to any WX concerns). There may be 3 or 4 other aircraft coming to Kelowna from Airdire on the Thursday/Friday. If you are interested in joining Larry or other Airdrie pilots on their flight, please contact Larry at 403-651-3048.

Each of the COPA Area Directors will be coordinating for group fly-outs from their region. Contact your COPA Director for more information.

The Century Flight Club is also planning to join us in Kelowna! The 2017 cross-country flight will terminate in Penticton, a short 20 minute flight south of Kelowna, on June 23rd. Join us in Kelowna right after! Visit the Century Flight Club 2017 Okanagan Tour web page for information.
